We currently have a deck made of cedar wood and it's less than a year old; however, we now know we should have gone with the composite. We are now wanting to re-done in composite using as much of the current materials, i.e., black railing, to cut down on cost.

Decks - Decks Questions
1.00How do I find out about modular decks?
Q.I saw that the decks that you can build this way are cheaper and I'm interested. Any advice?
A.1. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot.
2. Buy a book on decks.
1.00How many decks are in a shoe in the blackjack tables in Jackson Rancheria in Jackson, California?
Q.I'm going to Jackson Rancheria in Jackson, California in a couple of days, and I was wondering if anybody knew how many decks are in a shoe of the $5 minimum tables.
Please and Thanks ^_^
A.Probably 4-6, more likely 6 if it's 5 dollar. Either way the basic strategy nearly is the same on 4-6 decks
1.00What is a good website for a portfolio of the plastic-type all-weather outdoor decks?
Q.I am looking for a good portfolio website of those plastic-type all-weather decks (that are very high quality).
Does anyone know of some?
A.Http://www.allweatherdecks.net/
1.00How will Infernity decks perform in the next format?
Q.March 2011 banlist has banned cold wave, limited book of moon, and has hurt many top tier decks. Infernities were left unscratched. So in your opinion, how will they hold up come March 2011 in the tcg?
A.With gold sarc at 3, skill drain at 3 and snipe hunter at 3 plus you could make a chaos build is the side deck like i do and add 3 chaos sorcerer plus other light stuff like 3 thunder king rai-oh, cyber dragon and effect veiler, and rykos so they will probably be tier 2 but will be the same, maybe better.
1.00Do you need a contracting license to install decks and fences?
Q.Me and my father want to start a small business installing decks and fences. He has extensive work in the construction field as he has been doing it for about 30 years. But we are unsure if we would need to obtain a contracting license to do non-structural exterior work.
We know that you need permits for each job. Any help would be great.
We are in Canada.
A.I would contact someone at the local level of government to see what is required. In some locations, a license is required in order to obtain the permit for construction on the job.
1.00Can anyone recommend a program to record vinyl from decks onto a laptop hardrive?
Q.I'm looking to record a set from my decks onto my laptop so that I can check the quality of my mixes. With a view to then burning it onto a cd and handing out my demo at parties. Can anyone recommend a quality programme / software that would enable me to do this. Free or cheap would be preferable as I haven't got much money but the quality must be good.
A.Yeah, Audacity, and here's a tutorial on how to make a high-quality vinyl rip using Audacity:

1.00How do you record a cd of yourself mixing on decks? What set up is needed and how is it done?
Q.I have bought some decks stanton t80s and they are hooked up running through my stereo. How do you record a cd? Is this done on a computer or do you need special software. My stereo doesnt have cd record function?
A.It depends on how much you would like to spend. You can start plugging the output of your mixer to the computer's sound card input, trough a 2 RCA to Stereo P2 cable, that you can buy on any audio/video/computer shop, and then plug the sound card output to your stereo. Once in the computer, you can record, mix, edit and add some effects to your mixings... there are several free and paid software that can do this for you, one free example is http://www.download.com/Smart-PC-Recorder/3000-2170_4-10611567.html?tag=lst-0-5
that I found on google... then you can burn the mix to a CD or rip to a MP3 file, that you can upload or mail to everyone... There are also CD-Recorder decks, that works just the same way as tape recorders would do, but they are expensive since they are made for professional use. There is a cool tutorial on the web in http://www.cybergrass.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4
1.00What are dangers of the residue from sanding hard fiberglass decks?
Q.Some outdoor decks here are made of fiberglass resin and matting with a gelcoat on top. When these crack, they are rough sanded and the residue flies everywhere. My neighbor is doing this repair and there is white "sawdust" type particles from it all over, including on my fruits, berries, herbs and my koi pond. And it can potentially be inhaled. This is different from fiberglass "wool", but what are the dangers here?
A.If u stand next to him with a hose and suck the dust into your lungs I'm sure there would be harmful effects if hes spending a few days repairing his deck im quite sure the unborn children in the neighborhood will not be born deformed so when hes all done hose down your fruit trees sleep well knowing you ll wake up in the morning
